Core Responsibilities & Duties

As the successful Lunchtime Supervisor, your day will be varied and engaging. Your primary focus will be to oversee pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas, ensuring a safe and enjoyable lunch period.

• Supervising Pupils: Actively monitor children in the dining hall and playground, promoting positive behaviour and intervening calmly in any disputes or incidents.
• Safety & First Aid: Ensure all health and safety rules are followed. Administer basic first aid (training provided if needed) and report any accidents or concerns promptly to the senior staff.
• Encouraging Positive Play: Organise and lead simple games and activities suitable for different age groups, encouraging inclusion and teamwork among pupils.
• Dining Hall Support: Assist younger children with carrying trays, opening packages, and maintaining a clean and orderly dining environment. Liaise with kitchen staff as required.
• Communication: Provide clear, constructive feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil behaviour and any issues arising during lunchtime. Uphold the school's policies on safeguarding and behaviour at all times.

Candidate Requirements & Person Specification
