Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties
- ✓General Surface Cleaning: Thorough dusting, wiping, and polishing of all surfaces including desks, counters, windowsills, and fixtures in offices and commercial spaces across Edinburgh.
- ✓Floor Care & Maintenance: Vacuuming, mopping, buffing, and occasional carpet shampooing of hard floors and carpets. Safe operation of industrial floor cleaning machinery after training.
- ✓Sanitisation of High-Touch Areas: Methodical cleaning and disinfection of door handles, light switches, lift buttons, stair railings, and shared kitchen/restroom facilities to maintain high hygiene standards.
- ✓Waste Management & Replenishment: Emptying all bins, replacing liners, and ensuring responsible disposal. Restocking consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
- ✓Specialist Cleaning Tasks: Periodic deep cleaning projects including window cleaning (ground floor), strip and seal floors, and high-level dusting. Full training and PPE provided.
- ✓Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to all COSHH regulations, safely storing cleaning chemicals, and immediately reporting any hazards or maintenance issues to the site supervisor.
Essential Requirements for Candidates
