Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons effectively across a range of subjects and year groups, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment from the moment you step into the classroom.
• Manage classroom behaviour proactively using school policies, ensuring the safety, engagement, and respect of all pupils during the cover period.
• Adapt teaching methods on the spot to meet the needs of different learners, providing clear instructions and support to ensure lesson objectives are met.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to the regular class teacher and senior leadership, including notes on pupil progress, behaviour, and completion of set work.
• Uphold all school safeguarding and health & safety protocols meticulously, acting as a responsible and professional representative of both the school and labourer.agency.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages pupil participation and mitigates the disruption of a teacher's absence.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential for most roles. We may also consider instructors with relevant experience for certain settings.
• Proven experience teaching in UK primary or secondary schools, with the confidence to manage classrooms from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Key Stage 4 (KS4).
• Enhanced DBS Certificate that is registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one through us immediately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with pupils, staff, and our agency consultants.
• Flexibility and reliability are paramount. You must be able to accept assignments at short notice and commit fully to the agreed working days.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and contemporary teaching practices for your specialist subject or phase.
