Job Description
We are looking for reliable and hardworking general labourers to assist in various construction, warehousing, and manufacturing projects in Bordesley. Main Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
- Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers, etc., in their tasks
- Perform site clean-up to remove debris and ensure a safe and orderly work environment
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed
- Follow instructions from supervisors and implement construction plans
- Dig pits, trenches or foundations as directed, by hand or using hand tools
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Follow all safety protocol and wear the proper personal protective equipment
- Mix, pour, and level concrete or other materials as instructed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for long periods
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical strength
- Basic understanding of construction principles and techniques
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a bonus
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
- Punctuality and reliability are critical
- A valid CSCS card may be required
Experience
- Previous experience as a general labourer in construction or related field is desired but not mandatory
- On-the-job training will be provided for unskilled or less experienced candidates
